AI Use Disclosure Policy
At V.F. McNeil Insurance, we value transparency and are committed to responsible and ethical use of technology — including the limited use of artificial intelligence (AI). This policy outlines how we utilize AI tools in our operations, specifically in relation to content creation, communication, and consumer education.
How We Use AI
We may use AI tools in the following ways:
- Content Brainstorming & Research Support:
AI is used to assist with generating topic ideas and efficiently gathering general information for consumer-facing content related to insurance products, services, and topics that may impact our clients and community. - Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
AI may assist in drafting or enhancing copy for search engine optimization purposes, allowing our educational content to be more accessible to consumers searching for relevant information. - Proofreading & Editing:
We occasionally use AI to assist with reviewing and refining the grammar, tone, and structure of our content and communications to ensure clarity and professionalism. - Image Generation:
When appropriate, and if no suitable stock or purchased images are available, we may use AI tools to generate illustrative images to support our consumer education efforts. These are used sparingly and never depict real individuals or client data. - Human Oversight Always Matters:
Any content developed with AI assistance is carefully reviewed, edited, and approved by a Connecticut-licensed insurance professional before it is shared publicly. We do not rely on AI to generate standalone content or provide insurance advice.
What We Do Not Use AI For
- No Client Data Sharing or Input:
We do not use AI tools to process, analyze, or input any client data — personal, financial, or otherwise. Protecting your privacy and confidentiality is a core value and priority. - No AI-Only Content:
We do not publish or distribute any content created solely by AI. All communications — whether written, visual, or educational — are reviewed and authorized by a licensed and knowledgeable member of our team.
Virtual Meeting Transcriptions & AI Tools Disclosure
To provide the highest level of service, our agency may use secure artificial intelligence (AI) tools to transcribe virtual meetings. We want our clients to be assured of the following safeguards:
- Authorized Access Only – Meeting transcriptions and summaries are accessible only to authorized members of our agency team.
- No External Sharing – Transcribed content will never be shared with any third parties outside of our team or agency.
- Secure Storage – Transcriptions are attached directly to your client account within our secured agency system, in accordance with our privacy policy and data security practices.
- Transparency – When AI transcription is enabled, you will be notified in advance within our meeting scheduler. We will also provide a verbal reminder at the beginning of the meeting.
Our use of AI for transcription is solely to enhance accuracy and service, while maintaining full compliance with applicable privacy and data protection regulations.
We believe AI can be a useful support tool — not a replacement for professional expertise, integrity, or personal service. If you have questions about how we create or share our content, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
