Salvatore D’Angelo joined V.F. McNeil Insurance in 2014, bringing more than 15 years of business management experience from the food industry, including online food sales. Having attended Southern Connecticut State University with a focus in Business Administration, Sal transitioned his operational expertise and client-first mindset into the insurance industry, where he has built long-standing relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Over the course of his career at V.F. McNeil, Sal earned his AAI and CIC designations and has taken on increasing leadership responsibilities within the agency. In January 2026, he was promoted to Vice President, Director of Personal Lines Services, a role in which he supports the agency’s operational oversight and long-term growth while remaining actively engaged in new business production across both commercial and personal lines.
Sal works closely with small-to-mid-sized business owners throughout Connecticut, including restaurants, cafes, bakeries, artisan contractors, main street shops, professional offices, property managers, and small manufacturers. He also advises new homeowners, busy professionals, and high-value households who value thoughtful guidance and a strong agent-client relationship.
Known for his practical understanding of the time, effort, and resources required to run a business, Sal takes a detail-oriented and proactive approach to risk management. In addition to his work at the agency, he is an active leader in the local business community and has held two key leadership roles within his BNI networking group, where collaboration and relationship-building remain central to his professional approach.
Outside of work, Sal enjoys quality time with his wife and two children. A believer in the motto, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take,” Sal also finds time to indulge in Netflix, enjoying Sci-fi shows and re-runs of “Game of Thrones.” His favorite book is “The Da Vinci Code,” and for family vacations, Disney World is a beloved destination.
