Lina Fiondella

Lina Fiondella is a seasoned insurance professional with over 18 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining V.F. McNeil Insurance, she worked as an Accounting Manager, focusing on day-to-day billing and claims. In January 2024, Lina joined V.F. McNeil Insurance as an Assistant Account Manager, where she continues to excel in claims and billing.

Lina holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a minor in Education from Springfield College in Massachusetts. Her passion for teaching led her to take a break from insurance to pursue a career in education. She taught at a private nursery school and later became a kindergarten teacher at Jerome Harrison Elementary School. This teaching experience has proven invaluable in her current role, allowing her to explain complex insurance matters in simple terms, much to the appreciation of her clients.

In 2015, Lina returned to the insurance industry, seeking the challenges and stability it offered. Her teaching background made her uniquely adept at communicating with clients, fostering an environment of trust and understanding. She strongly believes in honesty, kindness, and respect for others. Her lighthearted sense of humor brings joy to the workplace, with her colleagues often commenting on how her presence brightens the office.

Lina’s mantra is, “Don’t let other people control what kind of day you will have.” This positive outlook aligns with her belief that you get back what you put into the universe. Outside of work, Lina’s love for animals is evident. Colleagues joke that she has a farm at home, and this might not be far from the truth—she spent part of her childhood living on a family farm in northern Italy. Her parents, originally from Italy, moved back there when Lina was four years old. During those years, she honed skills like milking cows and caring for animals, fostering a deep connection to the more relaxed Italian lifestyle.

Lina’s favorite pastimes involve spending time with her family and pets. She enjoys the simple pleasures in life, whether it’s taking walks with her dog Jake, spending time by the pool, or reading a good murder mystery. Her hobbies also include crafting, thrifting, exploring Connecticut, and enjoying a quiet coffee on her deck in the early morning.

Lina’s journey from teaching to insurance and her commitment to both her work and personal values make her an exceptional member of the V.F. McNeil Insurance team. She embodies a spirit of positivity and compassion that resonates with colleagues and clients alike.
