Daniel McNamara

Daniel joined V.F. McNeil in 2002 after earning his BA in Business Management and gaining valuable experience at The Hartford. Starting as an Account Manager, his dedication and talent quickly propelled him to the role of Account Executive. By 2006, he was promoted to Vice President, demonstrating his deep understanding and capability in nearly every role within the agency. In 2012, Daniel purchased V.F. McNeil Insurance, steering the agency towards continued success and innovation.

His leadership style is described by his team as genuine, transparent, and deeply caring. While his expertise in agency operations is well recognized, Daniel also brings a surprising array of additional skills to the table. Whether it’s organizing pop-up breakfasts, showcasing his carpentry skills at special events, or transforming complex spreadsheet presentations into engaging experiences, he continually surprises and inspires his team.

An insurance enthusiast, Daniel is particularly passionate about safeguarding the agency and its clients from cyber-related threats through education, prevention, and comprehensive cyber liability insurance protection. However, his interests extend far beyond the professional realm.

Outside of work, Daniel cherishes time with his wife and three children. He is often found enjoying the outdoors, whether it’s at the beach, biking, skiing, or engaging in a variety of outdoor activities. He also enjoys golfing, attending country music events, and volunteering within the community.

Daniel primarily works with privately owned, mid-sized to large business owners in Connecticut, focusing on developing customized commercial package insurance, as well as worker’s compensation insurance and directors & officers insurance. His commitment to providing tailored solutions ensures that his clients receive the best possible coverage for their unique needs.
