Carmine began his insurance career at Connecticut Associates Insurance, quickly earning his Connecticut Property and Casualty Insurance License and serving as an Account Manager for six years. Seeking to expand his knowledge and career potential, he joined V.F. McNeil in 1997 as an Account Manager and earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2002. He later obtained his Life and Health Insurance License in 2009 and earned the Trusted Risk Advisor (TRA) designation in 2024.
Today, as Vice President – Director of Commercial Lines, Carmine leads the agency’s commercial insurance division, overseeing strategy, client service standards, carrier relationships, and risk management solutions for businesses throughout Connecticut. In this role, he works closely with the commercial lines team to ensure clients receive thoughtful guidance, proactive risk assessment, and customized insurance programs designed to protect and support long-term growth.
Carmine’s focus is in developing tailored insurance strategies for privately owned businesses, with a focus on complex commercial risks. His clients include Connecticut manufacturers, cultural institutions, bioscience and life science companies, large artisan contractors, and professional offices. He also serves high-net-worth residents of Connecticut, providing personalized coverage solutions and hands-on advisory relationships.
Promoted to Vice President in 2014, Carmine has long been recognized for both his leadership and client commitment. He was nominated as one of New Haven’s Finest professionals in 2016 and earned statewide recognition as a Five Star Insurance Professional in 2017 — distinctions that reflect the strong, enduring relationships he builds with clients and colleagues alike.
Known internally as the “giant insurance brain,” Carmine is the go-to resource for complex coverage questions and strategic risk conversations. His humor and wit keep the office atmosphere lively and engaging.
Born in Piedmont, Italy, Carmine speaks intermediate Italian, adding a unique dimension to his professional and personal interactions. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, watching comedies, and spending quality time with his wife and daughter. He lives by the motto, “Wherever I am, I shall be well content.”
