Consult With an Insurance Professional First or it May Cost You More Than You Earn!

Branford, CT., September 11, 2017 - As ride sharing, officially referred to as Transportation Network Companies (TNC), continues to explode in popularity, it’s natural for some of us to consider the option not just as a passenger, but as a driver to earn extra cash.  Earning extra income with flexible hours can seem tempting.  However, if you jump into the venture without the proper knowledge, you could potentially land yourself in a bad financial predicament.

At V.F. McNeil Insurance, we don’t want this to happen to you.  Therefore, we’ve listed some key things to consider to help you protect yourself.

Storm Preparedness

Branford, CT. – July 25, 2017
.  It’s most likely safe to say, nobody wants to experience a hurricane; and we certainly hope we don’t in 2017.  However, from experience we all know it’s a possibility once we enter the season. So, the key here is to be proactive and not reactive.  Surprisingly though, many people to tend not to heed caution.  Lack of preparedness as we’ve all seen in the news, can leave us with worse circumstances.

At V.F. McNeil Insurance, we are trying to help spread the word about the importance of being preparedness-minded.  The following are some tips from our friends at Hanover Insurance on weathering a hurricane, before, during and after the storm.  Please take time to review each for your knowledge and safety.
Insurance for College Students

Whether your child is heading off to college as a freshman or a returning student, you may both be feeling the stress of higher education in many ways.  As parents and students, the to do list can be a bit overwhelming.  Understandably, some tasks may go on the back burner.
One task that should NOT go on the back burner is whether your insurance coverage will still make sense for this significant life change.  However, it’s also a task that doesn’t have to be stressful if you consult with an insurance professional who can guide you down the right path.
College raises a gamut of insurance related issues that are best addresses before your child goes off to college rather than when it’s too late.  As stated by Trusted Choice® the following are a few things to consider.
